SciSmart Applications——Circle Detection

Find round tools commonly used in the hole positioning, measurement and other cases. Finding the circle algorithm is to find the edge points by fitting the edge points that meet the set conditions to the circle by the fitting algorithm.

Application: Circular hole location.

Software: SCI Smart Camera 2.4.1804.x.x and above.

Function: Positioning round holes in products.

Steps：

Step1: Read image by “Image import”. replace the path of the images located, For example: D:/Demo Project/ Circle Detection /image /1.jpg.

Step2: Use the “Blob Analysis” tool to locate the black area.

Step3: Use the “ROI Alignment Setting” tool to follow the ROI of the find edge to ensure that the edge is found accurately.

Step5: Use “Circle Detection” tool to find circle, and enable ROI correction function.

Step6: Display the results by “Overlay”.
